The Phoenix Group is the only charity working with and for visually impaired people in Haringey. Based at the Winkfield Resource Centre in Wood Green, it is funded by the London Borough of Haringey and by Supporting People - as well as donations from the general public. Additional fund-raising activities are essential to maintain the level of services provided.

There are two full-time and two part-time members of staff and the office is open from 9am till 5pm Monday to Friday. There is also a team of more than 40 volunteers. The Phoenix Group is run by a management committee which meets regularly on the third Monday of every month.
