Volunteers are always needed. If you are interested in any of the following activities please ring us on 020 8889 7070.

Training will be given:

To staff the information desks at the eye clinic at the Whittington or North Middlesex Hospitals.

Reading local newspapers onto tape for our talking newspaper service.

Escort members on the minibus journey to the classes or on day trips.

Assist in fund raising.

HOMEVISITING SERVICE We have a home visiting service for visually impaired people that are isolated. Our befrienders usually visit on a weekly basis to: Read correspondence

• Assist in filling in forms

• Telephone work

• Sit and chat, which is important because the homevisitor may provide the only social contact during the week.
